Abstract

Objective: Describe the percentiles to evaluate the physical growth of young Chilean soccer players.

Methodology: A documentary study was carried out. The percentiles proposed by Carrasco et al were used to analyze the physical growth of young male soccer players. Weight was used for age, height for age. The age range is from 13 to 18 years.

Results: Weight percentiles for age and height for age were plotted. The proposed percentiles are p5, p10, p15, p25, p50, p85, p90 and p95.

Conclusion: The graphs developed in this study can be used to evaluate and monitor the physical growth of young Chilean soccer players.
