Football study about the goal set play: a systematic review

Abstract

Objective: Determine the type of goal set play in professional men football.

Method: The original articles were identified in Google Scholar, Research Gate, and PubMed from January to July of 2018. In these electronic bases the studies were consulted with the key words soccer goal, soccer and match analysis. The researcher used the Galna et al.22 scale to evaluate the studies and included 24 studies were included for this systematic review.

Results: The goals set play in the professional men football occurs between 23 to 47% during the game. The goal of foul occurs between 16,7 to 33,3% during the game, being 4 to 10,5% is of direct free kick and 7,35 to 8% is of indirect fault. Penalty goal is scored with values of 0,33 to 83,3% during the game, but with 78,6% of the right leg kick and 21,4% of the left leg. The goals after the corner have values of 1 to 47,6% during the game, but the direct goal of the corner was of 0,5%, called in Brazil of Olympic goal.

Conclusion: The systematic review identified the percentage of goals set play in the professional men football with the purpose of assisting the work of the coaches of this sport.
